Daisy sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the wall. She had been sitting there for hours, unmoving, unthinking. She felt numb. She had been feeling numb for days, ever since her parents had told her that they were getting a divorce.
Daisy didn't understand why her parents were getting a divorce. They had always seemed so happy together. They had always loved each other. But now they were saying that they couldn't be together anymore. They said that they had tried to work things out, but they couldn't. They said that they were better off apart.
Daisy didn't believe them. She didn't want them to be apart. She wanted them to be together, like they always had been. She didn't want her life to change. She didn't want anything to change.
But change was coming, whether Daisy wanted it or not. Her parents were getting a divorce, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She felt like her whole world was falling apart.
Daisy stood up and walked over to the window. She looked out at the street below. It was a sunny day, but Daisy didn't feel the warmth of the sun. She felt cold and alone. She felt like she was the only person in the world who was going through this.
Daisy turned away from the window and walked back to her bed. She sat down on the edge of the bed and stared at the floor. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know how to go on. She felt like her life was over.
Daisy closed her eyes and started to cry. She cried for her parents. She cried for herself. She cried for the life that she had lost.
Daisy cried for a long time. When she finally stopped, she felt exhausted. She felt empty. She felt like there was nothing left inside her.
Daisy stood up and walked over to the window. She looked out at the street below. The sun was still shining, but Daisy still didn't feel the warmth of the sun. She felt cold and alone. She felt like she was the only person in the world who was going through this.
But then, Daisy saw something that made her stop. She saw a little girl playing on the sidewalk. The little girl was laughing and running around, and she looked so happy. Daisy watched the little girl for a moment, and then she smiled. She realized that she wasn't the only person in the world who was going through this. There were other people who had gone through the same thing. And if they could get through it, then so could she.
Daisy turned away from the window and walked back to her bed. She sat down on the edge of the bed and took a deep breath. She knew that it was going to be hard, but she was determined to get through this. She was determined to find her way and to make her life better.
Daisy stood up and walked out of her room. She walked down the stairs and into the living room. Her parents were sitting on the couch, talking. Daisy walked over to them and sat down next to her mother.
"I'm okay," Daisy said. "I'm going to be okay."
Her parents smiled at her. They knew that it was going to be hard, but they were proud of Daisy for being so strong.
Daisy stood up and walked out of the living room. She walked out of the house and into the sunshine. She took a deep breath and started to walk. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew that she would find her way.
